New Zealand natives Bret McKenzie (right) and Jemaine Clement (left) are Flight of the Conchords, a musical comedy duo who also have their own show, also called “Flight of the Conchords,” in which they play slightly fictionalized versions of themselves.  So far they have one self-titled album out, and “I Told You I Was Freaky,” out this year.  Jemaine was recently nominated for an acting Emmy.  He also stars as a fantasy writer in Jared Hess’s upcoming “Gentlemen Broncos.”  Bret doesn’t have any films in the pipes, but he did appear as an elf in two of the “Lord of the Rings” films.

Why They’re More Than Just Eye Candy:  Well, they’re hysterical, for one.  Also, they’re pretty good musicians; they can pull off some impressive acoustic guitar playing and still sing well and be funny at the same time.  It’s pretty impressive, to me.  See for yourself:
