jonmclaughlinJon McLaughlin is a singer/songwriter from the amazing state of Indiana.  He has toured with Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, O.A.R., Paulo Nutini, and Sister Hazel.  His singles, “Beautiful Disaster” and “Beating My Heart” have gotten some radio play.  He also performed a song (written by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz) for the film Enchanted.  When it was nominated for an Academy Award, he performed the song at the awards show.

Why He’s More Than Just Eye Candy:  He plays guitar and piano, and has a pretty nice voice.  He’s accomplished quite a bit in his short time in the public eye (even some of the biggest artists have yet to perform at the Oscars).  Plus, it’s kind of hard to get famous when you live in the Midwest, and yet he did it.  Even if you don’t think you’ve heard one of his songs, you probably have.  They’ve been featured in a ridiculous amount of TV shows and movies.

I didn’t make this article, but I do like it.  I’m really interested in neat design concepts such as these.

Part one is here.

Part two is here.

It’s from a site called “Creative Bits.”  Here’s a taste of what is to be found there.

And, finally, this one.

sandstorm1It cracks me up.  I’d love to write something like this some day.  Maybe there’s a market for it.
