Sufjan Stevens is an extremely talented musician perhaps most well-known for his two state-themed albums, Michigan and Illinois.
Why He’s More Than Just Eye Candy: Stevens is a multi-instrumentalist, often playing most of the instruments on his albums. He and his stepfather formed their own record label, Asthmatic Kitty. He also has an MFA in Creative Writing. Many of his songs are heavily influenced by real events, people, or even literature. He’s certainly no idiot.
